LibLime to Participate in RMG Presidents’ Seminar at ALA Midwinter 2016

Bethesda, MD – January 8, 2016 – Leading open development provider LibLime, Inc. today announced that its Executive Director, Patrick Jones, is one of ten library industry executives selected for the panel of RMG’s 2016 Annual Presidents’ Seminar.
Annually at the ALA Midwinter Meeting, information technology consulting firm RMG Consultants, Inc. coordinates “The View from the Top,” a seminar that invites global library industry executives to discuss initiatives and trends that impact libraries. This year’s discussion, moderated by RMG President and Founder Rob McGee, will center on the theme of what’s important to library users, librarians and library vendors.
Patrick Jones, Executive Director of LibLime, who is a degreed librarian, has been involved in the evaluation, selection, deployment, development, and support of commercial and open source ILS applications for over 20 years. Employment at PTFS, Dynix, SirsiDynix, Endeavor, and OCLC has provided Patrick with an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the industry. Patrick has worked with Federal Librarians for 12 years, has given him a broad background in formal proposal submission, federal procurement processes, and security certification programs. A member of SLA since 1993, Patrick brings a librarian’s approach to solving the challenges of describing, disseminating, and discovering cultural collections.

“This is an exciting time for our profession, and the RMG panel always offers both vendors and librarians a view into the future” said Jones. “As an open development company, we’re always looking for input from our users, who actually drive the development of our LSP. It will be extremely interesting to hear from the panelists and the audience on their view of What’s Important to the entire library community.”
