Northwest Arkansas Community College Joins the WALDO Bibliovation Development Group

North Bethesda, MD, May 7, 2014 – LibLime, a division of PTFS, and WALDO (Westchester Academic Library Director’s Organization) are proud to welcome Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC), located in Bentonville, Arkansas, to the WALDO Bibliovation Development Group. Northwest Arkansas Community College joins dozens of other academic and research institutions under the guidance of WALDO to enhance the Bibliovation ILS platform.

In the last six months, the WALDO Bibliovation Development Group has released a new OPAC/Discovery Layer with a RESTful API to replace the older OPAC technology. Bibliovation 5.6 went into production in March, 2014 using the new OPAC/Discovery Layer. Coupled with the Solr search engine, and additional search performance enhancements, Bibliovation now offers researchers with a state-of-the-art search and retrieval experience. The adaption of additional NACO-approved punctuation matching rules for authority records along with an authority record batch merge tool has expanded authority control management.
