Staff Training
With seasoned librarians on staff, LibLime understands the importance of staff training to ensure a smooth transition when switching software solutions. Our training packages provide the essential training components to get staff ready for the migration. Training is typically performed on-site at the library and consists of the following components:
- Circ staff training (one half-day)
- Cataloging/acquisition staff training (one half-day)
- Administrative functions and reporting (one half-day)
- General staff training and feedback sessions (one half-day)
Self-teaching options
Our product user interfaces have been designed to be user-friendly and familiar to librarians and many librarians are 'self-taught'. Self-training options are facilitated either by experience using the system in a training environment (included as a component of the contingency/test server) or through reading the system documentation and manuals.
Purchasing additional training
After the system goes live, LibLime can continue to provide periodic 'refresher' courses online via our LiveSupport chat. Through this online support, staff can ask questions or learn how to perform specific functions. Should staff desire such courses (or if new staff are hired by the library), LibLime would be happy to schedule such training at the library's convenience. Since training is included in our base support package there is no limitation on the number of training sessions available. LibLime will automatically schedule sessions to discuss new features when these become available.
